I get your point, trust me...

Unicyclist,
Great job.. Called to see if the LEO changed his/her opinion? That's the person that I worry about.

I did not call. When I talked to LEO earlier, he said that what the sign says, is what goes. I understand that LEOs can not know every law, and the small sections that are not clearly defined, but for the LEO to outright say that what the sign goes, and it would be illegal, makes me mad.

I also made a trip to the PD to get clarification (even though I knew the law). The officer also said what the sign says, goes. I informed the officer that city/counties can not make laws prohibiting in city parks, and the officer was very kind and said that she can not give legal advice, but to call the (Galveston and Harris county) DA. So I did, which I was told I can not get clarification on a law, unless I already committed the alleged crime.

In other words, when faced with a law we don't like, we'll bury our collective heads in the sand.
LEOs will arrest and claim ignorance.

Yep, no accountability on the other side of the fence.

It's bull that after 10yrs this has not been cleared up. Yeah they can arrest you but you will beat the charges. To me it's not worth the hassle. Our legislature should take action on this long ago.

dont under estimate friendswood police ability to over react. They dont get much violent crime so they will send the whole force out for someone carrying a gun.

friendswood is run more by rich people then anything else.

besides charles cotton lives there why cant he get it changed?
