I live in spring. Right off 249 area and I'm a relatively new shooter. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in shooting. Maybe once or twice a week.
Not a horrible shooter but if I'm going to trust my life to my shooting... I'd like to polish up a bit.
Sort of taking a young guy under their wing, so to speak.
I'm willing to shoot at any range in the north.
Not so much carters country as its outdoors and I'm prone to dehydration.
Wish I lived near you. I love shooting and the more the merrier in my mind. There is nothing I like more than the enthusiasm of a new shooter as he/she gains confidence and ability.
Since you profess to be heat averse, you may want to check out Spring Guns and Ammo, which is off of Spring-Cypress near Kuykendahl. It is an indoor range with a decent set of air handlers. They have classes and IDPA league nights that should allow you to get a lot of good practice in.
If you want to hydrate up and brave it a bit, a new shooting group has formed at Thunder Gun Range off of FM1314 just south of 242, called Thunder Shooters Club. Tomorrow, July 4 from 9:00 to 1:00 they are holding a fun shoot featuring a plate rack among other things. I know of several members of this board who are also members of this new club, including the pricipal organizers.
