I hope those bodyguards will be limiting themselves to magazines with 10 round or less capacity, because, after all, nobody needs more than 10 rounds for self-defense. If they're carrying "assault" magazines I guess we can only conclude they intend to murder people.

IMHO, the soon to be ex-Mayor can have all the security he wants, as long as the cost comes out of His pocket and not the City's, I.E, No on-duty Chicago PD or any other PD.

Why should he be able to pay for security he denied to ordinary citizens? I can buy and carry a gun but I can't afford to pay for 24/7 bodyguard protection. Daley doesn't want someone like me to be able to acquire the security I can afford. It seems to me that if I can't carry a gun the people who make the laws denying me this right shouldn't be able to hire someone else to carry a gun for their protection. If it's just a matter of money, not prohibition, fine --I'll buy and carry a gun and take care of my own defense, he can hire someone else to do it for him, but those of the Daley ilk seek to deny the rest of us a right they have reserved for themselves.

I am sure that Daily and others of his ilk(obama) would also like to reinstitue and broaden the Lèse majesté Law so that they have something else to charge us with when we don't like them.
