Re: Small Airport Carry?
Arkansas firearms Law wouldn’t define by class of airspace but might be defined by whether or not that airport supports commercial operations (Airlines). Arkansas is not on our list of normal stops so I am not familiar with their CHL law concerning airports.
Good point. I'm not a commercial ...

I have drawn my own personal lines in which I will defend myself. I have drawn my own personal lines in which I will defend another. Most of the folks on this forum have done the same, and I doubt any two people will draw them in the same fashion.

Re: Small Airport Carry?
Keep in mind that many of these "rules" are Texas based. Other states have different rules.
For example; Arkansas does not allow CHL to carry into a general aviation airport FBO or Terminal area.
Hmmmm. Are we referring to GA areas at airports under Class C or D airspace, or all GA airports ...

Re: Obama and Guns
Let me get this straight.
A few here are arguing that Obama has no interest or desire to limit our rights to own guns. . .
Are we discussing the same Obama who had the knives and forks taken away from the Latino Leaders luncheon not long ago?

Re: What do LEO's want from CHL's?
It's been a long time since I did the badge & gun thing, and even then it was with the dreaded feds. However, I remember when working in Texas, the cops still used "10 codes" and whenever we'd see a car/driver combo we'd snagged, we'd call the local sheriff's office dispatcher and request a "10-27 ...

Body armor isn't a panacea either. Ask someone who's been shot up close whether it hurt or not. It can the wind out of you. A double tap into body armor can drive you to your knees if it hurts enough.
Back in the late 80's, I (stupidly) volunteered to take some rounds while wearing Second Chance ...

Re: Have you told your church security guards?
I don't understand how (some) folks feel the "need" to inform others that they are armed.
For one, that's my business and mine alone.
Two, the bigger issue with me, at least, is now I have to wonder WHO ELSE so-and-so will go and let it slip that I'm armed?
Which then brings me to Three, which is ...

Re: Congress Strikes Major Blow to the Westboro Wacko's
Adding my appreciation for a young lady raised correctly. Mizzou/Columbia is a top-shelf school. I've hired many a graduate from there and was never disappointed with either their ability, initiative or work ethics.

Non-issue with us. All of our friends are armed and almost all have their CHLs.

Cast Boolits is my internet home and the guys that swage still continue to absolutely amaze me.
Like y'all, I've given it some serious thought but just can't convince myself to shake loose with the bucks. Casting cost me enough as it is--and I got into that, originally (like everyone else) to SAVE ...

Fly-in, group shoot, bbq and book signing end of month.
A friend of Tom Gresham's (Gun Talk) is having me to Natchitoches, Louisiana Saturday, June 30 for a book-signing, lunch and group shooting festival at the local range. I'm planning on flying in Friday afternoon/early evening as they are also having a fly-in at the local airport where I'll be tied ...

Re: NRA asks for help with 2A lawsuit
I noted in the NRA's appeal to members that they are looking for young Texans between the ages of 18 and 20, not 21.
Shame. I was going to sign up my god/daughter who just turned 21 this month.

For example, "If they block the door, I'm going to verbally demand they move. If they demand my money or respond with a threat, I'm going to draw. If they begins to attack, I'm going to shoot."

I've been pushing my own cast 230 grn bullets with 4.3 of W231 for years and years. This is one bullet and caliber/load combination where I found faster is not always more accurate, however.
