Re: Verbal and Written Notice(s) on private property
Thanks to all, but the last couple of post seems to have confused me. I have my CHL. If he does not post 30.06 can I go on the property to do my work even when given the verbal notice and the printed flyer?

Verbal and Written Notice(s) on private property
A business associate that I do some construction related work for is very anti-gun. He has concerns over the events taking place in the St. Louis area and feels that putting up some signage at his properties will keep "bad people" as he termed it from being on his properties. As far as I know he is ...

Re: Someone verbally said they are going to kill me
One other thing as I am still thinking this whole thing out. Are the security guards allowed to let the person making the threats know that we have a CHL? I figure they are allowed, but not necessarily obligated, to inform the property owner. I was never told what the conversation with the threating ...

Re: Someone verbally said they are going to kill me
Thanks to all for the opinions. Hoping to see an attorney this morning. One other question regarding this whole matter. When the two off duty LEO working as private security asked for my ID and then my wives ID we showed DL and CHL. Was that the correct thing to do?

Re: Someone verbally said they are going to kill me
As stated I would like to be more detailed and will be seeking legal advice tomorrow. But with that said let me add that this same person made similar threats about 4 months ago and later entered my vehicle and put trash in it. The owner of the property were this occurred asked me at that time if I ...

Someone verbally said they are going to kill me
Is it a crime? When someone says "I will kill you" is that a crime? I am fully aware that verbal provocation is not justified means for use of deadly force. The same person who made the threat to me first made the threat to "kick my (expletive)" When I told him I was going to get law enforcement and ...

Went there last yesterday evening as planned. A "Firearms are Prohibited on this Property" on the entry doors but no 30.06. I went on in.

Re: Showing license to someone
CHL training focuses on de-escalation. The guy probably did what he thought would de-escalate the situation, and every one of our responses would have been different. If someone gets out of their car to come back to confront me, I'm not going to pull out my CHL nor am I going to automatically draw ...

Showing license to someone
Having a conversation with someone that I will call a casual business aquaintance. The talk went from business to current events and somehow on to guns. He came right out and told me had gotten his CHL within the last 6 months and has already had to use it. I inquired as to "What do you mean by use ...

Disposing of bad loads
Was doing some much needed "house cleaning" and found some shells from my shotgunning days. They are some bad reloads that I had boxed, marked "BAD" and put on a shelf that don't get much attention. They are live loads, but most have a bad crimp, a wrinkle in the hull or brass is bent.
