Re: Confused by campus carry

Thanks All.

I did in fact carry while there. And I never saw a single 30.06 sign in any of the buildings I went to. My daughter took me on a bit of a tour of the campus. It was a complete non-issue.

Confused by campus carry

Later this week I am driving my daughter up to West Texas A&M, and helping move her into her dorm. WTAMU seems to be OK with campus carry: http://www.wtamu.edu/home/campus-concealed-carry.aspx

The confusing part to me is whether I am able to CC while moving my daughter into the dorm. According to ...

Re: Senior Citizens - opinions requested

Thanks everyone! You have all given me encouragement to help him with this goal.

It looks like G2G range in Rosenberg is the closest to their house. But Charles Cotton, I will keep you in mind. I'll discuss everything with my dad this weekend, and if he feels it might be too much for him to handle ...

Senior Citizens - opinions requested

I'm a bit in a quandry over this, and thought I would enlist some opinions from here. FWIW, I have my CHL and carry every day.

Over the weekend while having dinner with my folks, my dad says "I think me and your mom want to get CHL's". Of course I should be happy that they would want to take the ...

Is the Social Security office 30.06?

My daughter lost her SS card, so we need to go to the SS office to file for a replacement card. The nearest office is in a "not so good" area, so I would definitely feel better with my EDC. And would really hate to have to leave my it in the car for fear of it getting stolen.

And yes, I have my ...

Re: "Waiting Room"

The poster above reflects my scenario as well.

Most associates that I've talked to simply didn't want to help me, until I spoke with a nice lady that told me that I've already waited too long (I was beyond 90 days) and told me that I should have been helped earlier when I called. She got it all ...

Re: Another school question

If you have your Texas CHL as a Texas resident, then you should have no problem. If you have no CHL, or if you have one from another state (and not a Texas one), then you could possibly be violating the GFSZ (Gun Free School Zone).

Never go inside a building on campus. Not even the bathroom of the ...

Another school question

My house is just a few blocks away from a high school. My wife and I often walk our dogs- our route takes us down a bayou, then on a sidewalk that borders the school's soccer field, past the football field, past the school's baseball field, across the school's parking lot, and back into our ...

Re: "Waiting Room"

If you've hit at least 60 days and received no updates via their website, it may be best to give them a call. I called 4 times starting at day 70 when they said they found all my paperwork and would expedite processing. The next call was day 80 where they told me they didn't have my CHL-100 and ...

Re: January 2014

There is no rhyme or reason.

I submitted on 1/2/14... last week after seeing so many people that submitted after me, were receiving already, I called. The woman I spoke to basically told me there was nothing she could do about it, and I just needed to wait and to call back if it hit 90 days :shock ...
