Re: Fee Reduced further for Vets & others....

When I got my CHL earlier this year, I was very pleased to see that "veteran" in red lettering was front and center on the license.

And yes, Texas knows how to honor and take care of its veterans. NY, where I came from, wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire as a veteran. Total lack of respect ...

good.45 for concealed carry?

gPrimary is LC9, but go with a S&W air weight .38 every once in awhile. Have a Springfield 1911 .45 RO that i LOVE, so am investigating if it's feasible to carry a .45 cap concealed. My usual wear is shorts and a colored tshirt, or khakis and a polo, so not sure how that will work.

Recommendations ...

Re: Chl carry --- for Keith

Keith,

I found your statement: "CHL is not a valid ID in Texas. It is only considered a valid secondary method of identification." very interesting and informative.

Just last week I traveled from Dulles IAP to ABIA. I showed the TSA agent at Dulles my CHL as ID. He seemed a bit confused and when I ...

Re: the firing line in georgetown

Pretty simple and no frills set up. Several bays, with berms. 100+ yds, 50yds, close-in pistol set up (leo used for their CHL classes 2X a month. Several other bays. The good news it is NEVER crowded. I have a membership, and half the times I go (after work usually) place is empty. Good simple setup ...

Re: Pistol Wear

I have a storm subcompact, and can't imagine you concealed carrying that, much less a full size in gym shorts and a tshirt. god bless you. that's where my LC9 comes in handy!

storm sub great shooter by the way....little recoil great accuracy from 10 yards.

Re: What's a good price on a used LCP or LC9?

I have both LCP and LC9. LCP more for the wife in her handbag, my LC9 IWB. Both shot very accurately from an encounter range -- 7-15 feet. Got the LCP new for $309, the LC9 for $379. Highly recommend. Quality build, good looking little guns, packing some accuracy and impact.

Re: Cross draw IWB

Thanks Bill. Issue is I usually drive a small sports car so there is very little room between me and the door and door handle.

Cross draw IWB

I'm left handed and when driving access to my IWB weapon (a Ruger LCP) is pretty difficult and constricted. i was thinking about wearing the IWB holster on my right side and cross drawing. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.
