Re: S&W Model 27-2

One side of me would want to leave a perfect example as a perfect example. The other side would want to shoot the finest gun S&W ever made. And either option of wood grips would look great on it. Especially for keeping mint in box. For shooting I'd probably want the large grips. Tough, tough ...

Re: S&W Model 27-2

Wow! The 3.5" N frame is the best looking firearm S&W ever made. All it needs is a correct set of wood grips to be perfect. Someone REALLY likes you.

Re: Carry Prohibited?

I LDB415, being of simple mind, can't keep track of all the 43's and 46's, although I do manage with the 44's and 45's as I have none so even I can keep track. Anyway, I've found over decades the metal detector is the determining factor in that its presence means nope, no entry, and anywhere else ...

The toolbox photo flips to upright when I clicked it. Might want to add a pic with the bottom one opened to show the inside? GLWYS

As important as the 2A is, it almost needs to come with an intelligence test to be used.

Re: Tucker Gunleather suddenly shut down

I knew Tucker 25 years ago. I got to go to his shop once. Really interesting and he was an amazing leather craftsman. It was cool watching him work. And taking my stuff home with me after the visit.

Re: Tucker Gunleather suddenly shut down

There's Tucker Gunleather. And there's everything else. Age and health both have worked against him. It is sad this happened. There's a lot more to it than this brief synopsis.

Thank you guys for definitely helpful replies. A friend has offered the class as well. I may take that also later this month if all works out.

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law

It's been so long since the actual class I don't remember all the details of when/where it's ok to carry, to draw the weapon, etc. that might reduce the likelihood of legal involvement. That LTC-16 looks like a good reference to have for one. Thanks.

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law

Is there a good book, hopefully of a "Reader's Digest" or "For Dummies" or best combining both that covers the basics of what a license holder needs to know on most things CHL?

Re: Good time to buy firearms…

Yes, I wish I had a dollar for every transaction we've done. I'd go out for a steak dinner. Nobody is better or more fair to deal with. I wish I'd been born rich instead of so good looking so I could afford a whole lot more transactions.

So sorry for your loss. Mine passed in 2001 and I still miss her. Good luck with all that must be done. Hopefully you can find good people to advise and help you with it all.

Re: Weird signage

I would ignore such a sign since the verbiage is not what the law requires. But that's just me and I'm old and cranky and not a good example to follow.

Happy early birthday. And no offense but those look like something that if I didn't know better I'd believe was going to slither up and bite me. :)

Re: Weapon Storage at work

I carry absolutely everywhere, except those very few places where it is expressly forbidden, by the presence of a metal detector. They call it concealed for a reason. :)
