Re: concealed carry with dress shirts

One more for the MTAC. I currently carry a G26 in an MTAC holster. It is tuckable but I've never tried. I wear a sports coat to finalize the conceal. For summer There are silk sports coats, which are still pretty cool.

I suggest the MTAC as well. It works great for even an oversize pistol, and as ...

Re: WHIDPA Multigun Match CANCELLED (01/09)

Remember 3 gun match at PSC (their first) last Saturday of this month

What are the conditions to participate in the match at PSC? Do you need a membership there, or can anyone show up (and I assume pay an entry fee)? I was looking forward to the match in the morning and was disappointed when I ...

Re: Suppressors For .22 - No Special Licensing?

At the GRB show Saturday, I heard some yahoo telling someone the reason his Glock was compensated was because it has a selector switch. And then he proceeded to draw the pistol to show off the switch.

There is one person I know of who is regularly at the GRB shows who certainly often ...

Re: PMC primers

Since you mentioned it, I can add that I've used a few thousand Wolf small pistol primers with not a single failure as of yet. The bonus is that they tend to be significantly cheaper than certain other brands.

WTS: Armalite Mid-length Upper w/ BCG $475, AR LPK's $47

I've got an Armalite Mid-Length AR-15 upper receiver. This is complete, including the bolt carrier group, in the original brand new condition shipped from armalite (still in the box). The exact model is U15A4CB, and you can see the armalite product info page here: http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm ...

Here's a pretty good analysis on how the basic premises of the study are inherently flawed: http://volokh.com/2009/10/05/guns-did-n ... n-assault/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Shotgun for Sporting Clays?

I've used my Mossberg 500 pump for clays. It's more challenging doing true doubles while having to manually cycle between shots. One time I even managed to hit both clays at the last station during Skeet, so it's doable.

Re: where can i find roll punch pins in Houston?

I picked up a set at a gun show a while back, but my memory is hazy. It was either SOG Armory or Model 1 sales. You could call SOG and see if they have any in the store.

recoil of 12 gauge vs 20 gauge

How does the recoil of a 20 gauge shotgun typically compare to that of a 12? I've never shot a 20 before so I don't know how they compare to typical #8 birdshot loads in 12.

There's a 3-gun competition this weekend I'd like to attend but would like to avoid normal 12 gauge recoil for certain ...

Re: TN Legislature Overrides Gov on Restaurant/Bar Carry

I go to Tennesee periodically, so this will be a big help when I go to Chili's! :hurry:

I remember when Printer's Alley was an alley of 'brown bag' knife and gun clubs. If a bar is defined in my home state as it is in Texas (Chili's ain't no bar), I agree with the Gov.

Gasoline, gunpowder and ...

Re: Hornady criticaldefence .380 Kel-tec

Regardless of other people's ability to shoot a specific ammo in their gun, you should always test a "sufficient" number of rounds through your own copy of that pistol. Identical model guns (and magazines) can each have individual variations that make certain brands work perfectly or not at all, so ...

Re: FEG PA-63 9 x 18 mm Makarov INFO?

I have one that I like quite a bit. It's rather small so recoil can be snappy, but I still enjoy shooting it. I've also found it to be quite accurate. As far as function goes, the factory springs give you a trigger pull that is a few pounds heavier than "too much." You can get a set of replacements ...

Consider changing out what PD ammo you carry according to what you can find.

Re: Powder Recomendations

I'm currently using Bullseye to reload .40s&w, with great results. I've found it to be quite clean. It's also a popular choice for .45acp although I haven't loaded any yet, until my current factory stash starts to run low.
