S&W 642 Talo +ammo East Dallas -Sold
I have a S&W 642 airweight Talo edition in 38SPL and 360 rounds of Remington target ammo that I am looking to sell. The weapon has exactly 140 round through it. It functions flawlessly, but just doesn't have a place in my collection anymore. The gun and ammo are a package deal. I am not interested ...

Re: New 1911...2 Questions
Thanks for the input everyone. I went with the Wilson Combat 1-piece guide rod. I'm going to leave the magazines alone. Never been a fan of having the mags stick out.

New 1911...2 Questions
Yesterday I picked up my new SA Loaded 1911 .45 in Stainless ( http://springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=3 . This has been on my list for quite some time and I finally decided to pull the trigger (figuratively). Hopefully I can get some real trigger time this weekend. Anyway, I have 2 ...

Re: Kel-Tec Sub 2000
I must have got a warped one. I had massive FTF issues as received. I sent it back for repair. It's much improved now, but I still get an FTF every now and again. It's a fun range toy but I wouldn't rely on it for anything else.

You have a quality pistol right there. I've shot all manner of 230 grain through mine, from cheap to expensive without a single issue. Buy what fits your budget and have fun!

Re: "Arizona style" Immigration Bill Filed in Texas
I read at one place some time back that there were accusations of the Arizona bill being applied in a way which was specifically targeting Hispanics. That the police were systemically going into Hispanic neighborhoods in coordinated raids and stopping people on minor traffic issues for the sole ...

Not really in your area (just west of DFW) but...Tac Pro Shooting Center allows them. 1000 yard range. I've never been, but I hear good things.

Re: Customer Outs Himself
The issue I took with your original post is that it appears the guy was told that drinking while carrying was illegal. I understand that it is up to the discretion of the of officer to determine impaired ability, and that can happen below 0.08 BAC. There is however a difference between drinking ...

Re: Customer Outs Himself
To clarify, the guy who shouted out stood up as he did so, while patting his hip. I couldn't discern whether that guy or his friend were carrying.

Re: Customer Outs Himself
I have a problem with both sides on this one. There is no doubt the guy acted stupidly shouting his (and his friends) carry status across a bar. There is also no doubt that the "0" limit is the best rule when carrying.

Looking for 380 Auto?
I found this on another board..... http://www.paysonroundup.com/news/2010/jul/09/sb1070-boycott-costly-new-ammo-firm/
Apparently, this ammo manufacturer had a contract with the LAPD to purchase ammo. Due to SB1070, the LAPD will no longer purchase it because it is made in Arizona (boycott). It ...

Fender Bender incident - Need to show CHL?
I was involved in a fender bender this afternoon, and I was carrying at the time. Another driver decided to make a right hand turn, but not from the right lane. Cut right across my path and I could not stop. Low speed impact; no injuries.
I called the police and they showed up within 5 minutes ...

Also, if you insert the full magazine with the slide already locked back it should be much easier to get fully inserted.
