Once again, thanks for the heads up. Due to time constraints and for the sake of doing some proper research, not to mention the discussion going on here and my checking up on the different state laws, our trip has been modified.

We will head out to Florida on a Sat. Morning, and drive to Ocala ...

Thanks Fellas, thanks for all of the heads up. Trip should be fun and interesting, I will have to drive through Maryland, but will keep it brief. I will definately stay out of DC.

Today, Friday, May 4th, checked on the website. Application Completed - Licence Issued or Certificate Active

17 days from the time I sent my application for renewal in: I have yet to recieve my confirmation that it was received from the postal service.

I don't want this thread to turn into a "caliber war" I respect the "nine" as much as the .45, I simply choose to carry G21 because I believe it is probably, IMO, the softest shooting Glock, or even .45 out there.
