Re: Chuck-e-cheese Pearland
Just posted an entry on texas3006.com and on facebooks Texas Concealed Carry about the Chunk Up Cheese on 1960 in N. Houston. It's sign is posted on a second entry door inside a foyer and not on the outside. So my wife was duped into going in and then had to turn around and disarm in the parking lot ...

Galveston to ban guns?
I have been hearing rumors that the City of Galveston is going to pass a law that would prohibit CCWs from all city owned properties, which include most of the beaches. Anyone hear more about this?

Sec. 54-40. Prohibited acts...
-
(19) No person shall bring into or have in his possession in any park area or facility any firearm, BB gun, air pistol, bow and arrow, crossbow, shotgun, knife or other ...

51% sign in a non 51% business
I took my family to a restaurant today and they had a 51% sign in the window. This is a little burger joint in The Woodlands call Johnny Rockets and there is no way they are a 51% establishment. Do i have to obey the sign just because they posted it? Is it even legal to post the sign if it is ...

Considering becoming a CHL Trainer
I was just wondering if there were a need for more trainers in the area (I live in The Woodlands). If I got certified would I have a problem finding opportunities to teach on weekends etc? Anyone have any opinions of this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: First weekend carrying - report
I have had my chl for about 6 years now, and I still carry around the house just to keep up the practice. Besides, even thou I am in what is considered a very save town, I still like to have my 9 at my side in case of an invasion. Plus, no need to "child lock" the gun (essentially rendering it ...

It seems to me the law is that as long as it dosent look like a gun its not a gun.
I see folks all the time carrying those fanny pack things. Everyone in the gun culture knows that 99% of the time there is a gun in one of those things but still you cant see it so legaly there is no gun.
