Fingerprint Receipt

Post by rytchard »

Quick question: I have read a couple of posts where folks indicated that they submitted their fingerprint receipt to DPS with their online packages.

When I got my fingerprints done I asked (the fingerprinting guy) if I needed to submit the receipt and he told me no, that they (DPS) would have my fingerprints by 4:30pm that evening.

Obviously, I can see that there is nothing with wrong with submitting the receipt. But since I didn't I am looking for some reassurance that what I was told and what I did was correct.

Any experiences that would shed some light on the above would be much appreciated?!

I didn't do anything with my fingerprinting aside from make the appointment, take my application sheet (for the number) and let them scan my fingertips.

"The fingerprinting guy" gave you the correct information; no further interaction is necessary from you in regards to your fingerprint submission for your CHL application. :thumbs2:

I scanned my receipt with the rest of my paperwork just to be on the safe side, but I don't know as it makes any difference.

Thanks for the quick responses. It looks like I am good with the way I did it. As the days go by and the waiting continues I over-think things sometimes! I can now resign to the fact that I have done my part and the only thing left to do is continue to wait until it is my turn! Thanks again!

The wait can certainly make you second guess, but they'll let you know if they need anything else. Just gotta sit tight and ride it out. Practice your carry and your draws...it worked for me.

Thanks. Have been doing all that plus...when I am anxious I like to buy stuff. So far during the waiting, I have purchased two new holsters, a range bag, a home safe, an armalaser, and a nanovault car safe. It needs to come in soon before I buy again!! LOL

Retail therapy is almost as good as recoil therapy. Sometimes it's cheaper.
