Class C and below offenses should be absolutely no problem. Class B is a 5 year suspension. But since it happened in 1988 you are well past your 5 year suspension. If I am correct I think you would have been eligible before CHL came to Texas. If there is any problem at all, you might get a letter in the mail asking for final disposition paperwork. You shouldn't get in trouble from what I have seen. But obviously I am not a lawyer lol

If this was just an unpaid moving violation ticket warrant, then it should not be an issue. Since it was left off inadvertently, I would wait and see if DPS contacts you. They will request additional information if something shows up on your record that they need clarification on. If they do, then make sure to respond quickly with the info they need and you should be OK as long as it is not a disqualifying offense (and class C misdemeanors are not).

I didn't put down an arrest for an unpaid traffic ticket in 1984 or 1985, and a public intoxication in 1996. The 1984 case, I just paid the ticket and was released, and I can't even remember what county it was in. For the public intoxication offense, I got a ticket and just paid the fine.
I wasn't sure if I needed to list them or not. If I remember correctly, the online form was asking fore case numbers and such, and I didn't have that information. I suspect they will find those and have questions about them, which I will reply. maybe it will cause a delay in my license.

And yes, expect a delay in your license.

Do you suggest I call them and amend my app? Or just let the process play out.

I suggest--being not a lawyer or DPS officer--that you amend your application.Breny414 wrote:Skipper,Skiprr wrote:Yes; you need to disclose all arrests.Breny414 wrote:I didn't put down an arrest for an unpaid traffic ticket in 1984 or 1985, and a public intoxication in 1996. Thanks, will do. I assumed the database was effective that's why I wasn't to concerned about listing them. I.e., they would find them.Skiprr wrote:I suggest--being not a lawyer or DPS officer--that you amend your application.Breny414 wrote:Skipper,Skiprr wrote:Yes; you need to disclose all arrests.Breny414 wrote:I didn't put down an arrest for an unpaid traffic ticket in 1984 or 1985, and a public intoxication in 1996. If it's any comfort, I was arrested for having beer in a Nashville city park in 1962. Although I never reported it, my first Texas CHL showed up on the 60th day without question.
Re: Anybody Know What to do or Similar situation
Skipped, thanks, how would you recommend me amending my app I just sent in Friday & your opinion also on letting them know I'm going to re-apply immediately if they're able to amend the one just sent, have you heard of that being done?

Re: Anybody Know What to do or Similar situation
I had all kinds of class C's and more than a couple ended with me sitting out tickets or sleeping off a bit to much of a good time. I never even thought about mentioning them and it never came up with any of my checks for anything including my CHL
