Out of curiosity, for when someone has to wait longer than the allotted 60 days: is there any established legal recourse?
Meaning, I guess; has anyone pressed suit against the department, or written a suitably strongly-worded missive to them? Would that be shooting oneself in the proverbial foot?
Note that I am not considering something like this, I'm just curious, given some of the horror stories about extended wait times.
Thanks,

What is your time line Kalrog?Kalrog wrote:I had no reason for delay (nothing returned and no questionable activity on my record), but it still took nearly 120 days. There is basically no recourse. Just keep calling and be the squeaky wheel - but do it politely.
It would be nice if there were teeth in the 60 day "requirement".
