Carry on.
:iagree:

Unocat is in Austin...If I recall correctly, Austin has a MOVIE THEATER once posted (in 2008? may have been removed now) 51% and 30.06... apparently they posted 30.07 too now (Alamo DRAFT HOUSE MOVIE THEATER?)
If I were going to pay the high prices to sit in a "sitting duck zone" to watch a movie, the info might be good to know, and I might carry, but not imbibe/drink ... I agree I don't drink anyway and firearms/weapons and substances which impair judgement should not be mixed ever..

(EDITED TO CLARIFY, I might carry my LEGALLY CARRIED CONCEALED RIFLE THERE, SINCE I'D HAVE TO LEAVE MY HANDGUN OUTSIDE WHERE THE 51% AND 30.06 + 30.07 SIGNS ARE)
I almost never go to movie theaters any more but a friend convinced me to go to the Alamo Lake Creek to see the New Star Wars... Don't see it, it is just a reboot of the original Star Wars from the late 70s, but that is for another thread :)
I only saw a 30.07 posted on the outside glass. I didn't see anything else and took the time to look for them.

In any case I agree with all the guns and drinking comments; I only asked about the signs so I would know. I don't drink at all when I carry.

Personally, the main reason I don't leave one in the truck is a total and complete lack of faith in people. I don't want to come out to my truck to find a firearm missing, but if there's a secure option available I may rethink that.
I park in my garage, so it stays in the truck except for a quarterly cleaning and relube.

I have a unique situation, I sell health insurance in people's homes and/or place of employment, maybe at a coffee shop, so I am usually only several yards away from my truck.

Taypo,

I bring it in when I get home.

This isn't much of a chore as I leave home to run errands about once every 10 days or so.

I live in a rural environment and have never had any sort of crime problem.

However, that doesn't mean I would leave anything of value in my truck.

There are long gun safes available if you don't mind spending the cash. The Texas based Lock'er Down (who makes console safes), has some under seat and rear of suv options -- but your looking at $800-1200 probably.

A folder AK is the ticket for a car.

I have pistol AK in 5.56. But till I convert it to an SBR it is staying in its soft case. Most likely I will send it to a Gunsmith to add a right-side folder when shooting and handling the charging latch is possible. Oh, that would only be done after Form 1 with $200 tax check is approved. Since, there would be no more approval but notification from the Chief LEO, the process is easier. I will wait till August to start the process.

I love my Sub 2000 for a truck gun when I go on trips.
