Right now I carry my Kimber Ultracarry in a kangaroo band under my shirt. I ordered an Infidel for it today from Comp-Tac. I have a pager pal but am too fat for it to work. I also have Gould and Goodrich SOB that I may use some when it gets cold outside.

My Taurus 605 goes in my front pocket for now but I have a Mika's pocket holster on order.

Most of the time on my strong side hip at 3:00. OWB is preferred but do IWB when needed due to short tail Polo shirt. Rest of the time is shoulder. Sunday is front pocket.

I got an e-mail today saying it was made and in the shipping dept. Said it will take 2-3 days there and then it will be on the way. I can't wait. Trying to figure out a belt to get but I can't really afford the gun belts I see advertised on some of the holster sites. I wear a Dickies brand work belt that is nearly 3/16 of an inch thick and I'm hoping that may be good enough for now.

Longtooth, reading about your Infidel is what swayed me that way.

Thank you & glad to help. That is my IWB carry holster. Your belt will do fine with an Infidel holster. Your wasteband will be a big help.
There are a couple of Milt Sparks belts on one of the other boards I watch. I think they are 38" & in the $75.00 range. I have never bought a new gun belt. If those are the right size & you are interested I will remember where they are when I check them tonight.

I generally carry my Hi-Power in a Galco Combat Master OWB holster.

My smaller gun (an FEG PA-63) is usually carried IWB at 3:00 if I can't carry the Hi-Power.

I have a shoulder rig for the PA-63 also, though have only carried it once that way. Once the weather cools down, I'll use it for a BUG in that position. I also occasionally carry it as a BUG in SOB position, if the situation permits.

grandpatim: I just got my new gun belt in the mail several days ago from The Belt Man (http://www.thebeltman.net), and absolutely love it. They're not terribly expensive (I paid $80 plus shipping for a 1.5" bullhide with a stiffener), and worth every penny. It's amazing the difference it makes for me. Instead of the tension of the belt holding the holster up, the belt is simply stiff enough to hold the gun and holster up on its own, and I don't have to wear my belt tight. If you have the means to buy one, I'd highly recommend it.

I got my Infidel in the mail Saturday. I haven't worn it much but so far so good. I got the CTAC strut for it and had to adjust it with some forward cant to get the grips to lay flat against my back. I thought with the CTAC strut it would have two places to hook onto the belt.

Today I was looking at Comp-Tacs site and they show they have the new Minotaur that fits the Kimber Ultracarry. Its the one I really wanted but last week it just showed large frame 1911's and polymer pistols. I guess I will just wait to get it when I get a new XD40. ;-)

Strong side hip 98% of time, 3:30'ish position, usually IWB but not always. Under armpit (Kangaroo) holster on Sunday, but trying to talk myself into pocket carry for Sundays.

Depending on what is “Proper Attire for a given outing, I carry OWB or IWB at 4:00 or IWB appendix.

My preferred carry for comfort is OWB @ 4:00…

strong side, usually 4o' clock.
the kangaroo holster is probably more comfortable constantly sitting and standing, but the strong side IWB draw is just so much faster. Unfortunately, when force is needed im afraid the kangaroo will just be too slow.

My preference is to carry IWB, strongside at around 4-5 o'clock, as this is by far the most comfortable position for me and easiest to conceal. I also pocket carry, strongside. This is usually done with a BUG, but there are times, due to dress that I cannot carry any other way, so I have to carry a primary weapon that way.
