So, I took my chl class on 10/20/2015
Filled out application on 10/21/2015
Fingerprints on 10/24/2015
Email confirmation of docs received on 10/30/15
Called on 11/15/15 to verify all docs are in
Called on 11/30/15 said I was calling way too soon and to check back in 3-4 weeks
Called 12/23/15 said that background check was about to begin
Called 1/15/16 said everything was completed and should have within 7 bus days
Called today 2/2/16 said they are only 1/2 way through background and it takes 60 business days to run.
Said that it will be at least 30 more days...
I feel like I'm getting the runaround getting different answers from different ppl every time I call. Not to mention my wife went through this process with me at the same time and received her plastic 3 weeks ago...

Re: Runaround!
It happens, depending on each individual's unique background and information portfolio, the process can be relatively fast to excruciatingly slow.

Re: Runaround!
First, welcome to the forum.
Second, why is your stereo too loud?
(Turn that daggum thing down!!!!)
Third, did you have any complicating matters that might have caused the processing to drag out longer than it should? Here's an example of the kind of thing I mean by that..... I was born a U.S. citizen, but I was born overseas. My dad was American, my mother French, and I was born in Morocco. At about 42 days into the process, I got a letter from DPC asking for a copy of my birth certificate to prove my citizenship. After providing them with the documents, I finally received my plastic another 34 days later. So there was a period of about 2 weeks from when the letter was mailed to me to when they received my answer back during which the process was on hold. 30 days became 76 days. I took the class in December, 2007, and I received the plastic in mid to late March, 2008.
Fourth, like parabelum said, there is probably a backlog of applications right now.......which was also the case when I first got mine.

Stop worrying about it (easier said than done). It will be in your mailbox in no time. Practice carrying at home and get a feel for having the pistol on you. You can also use this time to try and get over the "Am I printing stage?" if you plan on staying concealed.
