In the new updated version of "jugging", don't rob the armed and/or guarded jewelry store, rob the customers after they come out.

An interesting twist. I hope they get caught real soon.philip964 wrote:http://www.click2houston.com/news/3-cro ... n-business

Was this a 30.06 jewelry store? A lot of them seem to be.

Not the best area of Houston. Lots of "import" shops and bargain shops. This was no regular jewelry store.

From the story I assumed it was a "normal" jewelry store, but the video shows different.howdy wrote:Not the best area of Houston. Lots of "import" shops and bargain shops. This was no regular jewelry store.
I've heard of that area, but have never been there. For sure I won't go there now.

Hey, I like it. I think it is up to around 2 miles of cheapy stores along Harwin. My favorite is the giant tool store. Chinese paradise.
Last time I was in Dallas it looked like they were catching up with their Harry Hines strip.

You may have the last word.

I think a guy at work was telling me that it was a good place to buy cheap phone cases, chargers, cables, etc.SA_Steve wrote:Hey, I like it. I think it is up to around 2 miles of cheapy stores along Harwin. My favorite is the giant tool store. Chinese paradise.

I don't live close to this area so it doesn't make too much sense to spend 3 hours to drive 90 miles and use $10 worth of gas to buy $20 worth of trinkets.

Neighbor of mine chimed in, said he works in a jewelry store, and has heard many stories of people being tailed upon leaving such businesses
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Many years ago it was the place to get counterfeit YSL purses. Raids put a damper on that.

It makes more sense to rob someone who has money and/or jewelry on their person.RHenriksen wrote:Neighbor of mine chimed in, said he works in a jewelry store, and has heard many stories of people being tailed upon leaving such businesses
Situational awareness is paramount.

LOL. I would think the jewelry coming out of a Harwin store would turn your skin green. They're robbing people of their hard-earned $9.99 jewelry.
