This morning my wife got up around 5am and went to walk our 2 dogs inside our gated apartment complex. While walking she noticed that a large SUV was parked beside my truck with the engine running and all windows tinted very dark.
Now I know that this does not seem that unusual. But a little background, we know all of our neighbors and all of the familiar friends cars that come and go, this was not one of them. Anyway she continued to watch as she walked the dogs around, there was no movement from inside but she could tell that there was at least one person inside.
She tucked that away and came inside and got ready for work. About forty five minutes later she leaves for work. The SUV is still outside back windows are down and it is not on. She can still make out a figure inside but she thinks it is strange that they are still there. If they were picking up someone they would not still be there, usually.
She felt so strongly that something was not right that she called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle. She then called me to tell me to be careful when I left for work. (Unbeknownst to me my wife had also called our disabled neighbor to warn her) I go about an hour after she leaves. After hanging up with her, I could not shake the thought so I got up and peeked out the window.
There was already a LEO on the scene, he was running the occupants info from what I could tell. A few minutes later the occupant of the truck was in cuffs and sitting on the curb. Another LEO showed up about 15 minutes later and tossed the truck. Then about fifteen minutes after that a tow truck showed up and took his truck away. Then they put him in the back of yet another squad car and took him away.
Now, I mentioned the disabled neighbor that my wife called because she evidently got up after talking to my wife and went to “walk her dogs. In reality she was trying to hear what was going on. I spoke to her briefly on the way out and she said all she could really make out was, “Felony Warrant.
Just another reason to get the wife her CHL…..as I have pointed out about 1000 times since this morning!@

I'm from Texas, what country are you from?
That has to have been a chilling experience- I'm very happy to hear that the Wife made it past the situation without a problem! Knocking on wood for you over here, Longtooths. I hope that this experience gets her to get her CHL, of course, but it's great to hear that she's safe.
Quite the world we live in, isn't it?
