This sounds a little fishy to me, why was 911 not called? why would she follow the man after he attacked her? Possibly just another case of poor reporting, but the fact that they mentioned a "go fund me account" makes me wonder if this was made up to cover some other incident and try to get some money.

If this is true they need to get this guy off the streets.

Just a couple of hints to the OP:
  1. Put all quoted text between

    Code: Select all
quoted text goes here
tags, so that we can know what is your writing, and what you're quoting.
  2. Read Forum Rule #19:
    19. Posting material from other sources - When quoting material from other websites or sources, the following rules apply:
    • a. Give credit to the author and publication either at the beginning of the quote, or at the end. When the format allows, put the title of the article at the beginning;
      b. Do not post the entire article, post no more than 200 words or 10% of the article, whichever is less;
      c. Enclose the material in quotation marks or use italic font to clearly identify the material as a quote;Pld. Include a link to the website that contains the material or, if the material is not from a website, fully identify the source including the author
Carry on......

I'm sure she called 911 at some point. Regardless, probably not smart to follow the guy while she was (presumably) unarmed and he was shooting at her. Even if she was armed, that would not be the smartest move. Nothing in my wallet, my car, or even my house is worth that risk (other than my family).

The other missing piece is why she rolled down her window in the first place, unless he smashed it or something.

This is a good reminder for all of us to maintain SA at all times.

The victim probably rolled down her window because she initially thought the man was a police officer.
There is nothing in the news report about the victim calling 911.
Perhaps her cell phone was in her stolen purse.

I still can't envision someone following an attacker who just shot at you, had hit you in the mouth and about the head with a flashlight, causing you to have broken teeth, and other injuries. Also why would you argue with someone who tells you to give up your purse or be shot? I'm sorry, I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there is just too much that doesn't add up in the story. I haven't researched this to see if there is any police reports or other info available, but if there is not more to the story that hasn't been reported, I'm not buying it as reported. JMHO :???:
