If it isn't a transaction that can be done out front and during the day, probably not a transaction you should be doing is my thought.

Yeah tip #1: Don't go behind a store to complete a legal transaction.
tip#2: meet somewhere besides a Family Dollar store
tip #3: Don't they have pet stores and ligit dog breeders in Tyler?

Lessons learned, glad it turned out ok.

A very bad time and place to meet for a purchase of any kind.
If the were doing anything illegal I don't think that they would have called the police afterwards.
There are plenty of dogs available for adoption at the animal shelters.

That store is in a neighborhood where I wouldn't stop at night.

They were more likely trying to buy some (oh, I mean a) horse, which for you youngsters is slang for.....oh, just look it up...;)

Don't try to "by" dogs at 8pm.
According to Tyler Police, at 8 p.m., officers were called to a reported robbery outside a Family Dollar on Frankston Highway. When police met with the two victims, he said a robbery attempt had just taken place while they were attempting to by a dog.
