My present truck gun is an old JC Higgins (High Standard Flite King) 12ga pump with a 20" barrel...I paid 60 bucks for the JC Higgins and wouldn't sweat the loss if it was stolen or if I was in a wreck and couldn't retrieve my stuff.

Yep - I have 'frankengun' - an old (no serial number old) western auto (mossberg made) that I got for $20, found a clean used mossberg 500 barrel ($20) for it and cut it off, and then found a set of hogue grips (pistol and pump slide) for $15. Instant truck gun for $55 plus ammo. Runs perfectly.

It's too violent for me - it triggers my need for a safe space while I cuddle the participation trophy I won for doing my best in a Common Core math test after I cried in a gender-neutral bathroom because I saw an oppressive and non-inclusive US flag chalked on the sidewalk.
