WifeGBiv had her car nearly totaled when she parked on the top deck at DFW.
Hood and roof both had to be replaced. Both sides repaired. Amazingly, no glass breakage. Over $12,000 repair.
She said hers was the only car on the top deck with in-tact glass.
Good point. I flew with AA mostly out of A and C terminal. The parking garages at the terminal that are on the same level as the roadway where you would pick someone up are covered. You have to go up one more level for open top parking. I parked in remote south parking one winter. Came in on a red eye. Had about 1/2" ice covering my suburban. I could only open the back door then had to crawl through, start it up, and begin defrosting. My wife doesn't handle cold very well so she followed me over the seats. That was kinda priceless!
