Noted Firearms Instructor Rolls Up On Armed Squatters

Post by Pawpaw »

Well-known firearms instructor Rob Pincus of I.C.E. Training drove up to his wife’s old home yesterday, and found out that the home—which was supposed to be vacant—wasn’t.

Rob was armed, had the skills and training, and did what any intelligent person in his situation would do.

That's just what I was thinking before opening the link!

The police might not have the same level of training that he has with firearms, but they do have numbers and the authority behind them to deal with that situation far better and in a safer way. :thumbs2:

I have some of Rob's NRA videos and have picked up a few tips from him that have helped.

My brother had the same thing happen to a place he owns in Oregon. He called the police while staying way back from the house and an answering machine told him that they were closed that day. He finally got the realtor that manages it and found out that she had just rented it to the people that were in it. My brother then went up to the house, asked if they were armed. The response, "of course".
Nice to know the police are always minutes (days) away.

I'd rather wait a day than end up on the wrong side of the grass.

Wow a real "operator" would've gone in with an M4 in each hand after throwing in a few fragmentation grenades to flush the perps out. Then when it's all over called 911 so they could send the coroner and the meat wagon to clean up. Then call the detectives to write up the good guy for Presidential Medal of Freedom. :coolgleamA:

Great article Pawpaw! Thanks for posting :tiphat:

From the article:
"Some of the best advice my father ever gave me growing up was something in line with the general theory of “don’t let your mouth write a check that your butt can’t cash.” He simply meant that I shouldn’t let my pride and ego draw me into a situation that I can’t handle.

It sounds like the most basic advice of all, and it is.

It’s a darn shame that so few people bother to actually think in situations like these, and instead let their primitive minds take over, sending them rushing into situations that they simply are not capable of handling physically, emotionally, morally, legally, or financially.

Be smart, folks."

Great advice! :thumbs2:
