I suppose to admit this, I'll sound uninformed, but I really have no idea who the k's are.

Yeah, I've heard the name bandied about, but beyond that I haven't a clue.

Abraham, the name first got known when her bio-dad, Robert Kardashian, was part of OJ Simpson's defense team during his trial for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson-Brown and her boyfriend Ronald Goldman. Prior to that, they were just another wealthy and privileged but not necessarily well known Los Angeles area family. Robert Kardashian and his wife Kris were divorced in 1991, and she remarried to the then Bruce Jenner. She brought 3 daughters and a son to the Jenner marriage, one of whom is Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian is married to Kanye West, and is mostly known for (A) being known, and (B) having a gigantic caboose.

I swear I have not seen it, but Kim rose to fame after she leaked a sex tape of herself on the Internet. That apparently was enough to get the reality TV show.

I'm 52% convinced that this is insurance fraud. Just quality people doing quality things.

I won't use the word convinced. But It would not surprise me at all to read one day that this was an insurance job. And I'm leaning more towards 78%. Bodyguard was sent somewhere else. Kids were sent somewhere else. Thieves knew exactly where to go and what to take.
