It ain't gonna happen, just the Trumpeters trying to scare us. If It comes anywhere close in Texas , the rest of the country will have gone so hard over to Hillary The Texas Electoral College vote isn't gonna matter.

Progs are constantly touting demographic shifts, and they would be correct on this. Texas has changed drastically, it is eroding from within, largely due to prog Trojan horse, illegal immigrants.
Then you add to equation that conservatives tend to be a whole lot more principled, to a point where so many would not vote at all rather then to vote for what they see as flawed candidate, yea, it's going to be close. Very close.

Do you mean without massive voter fraud?

You could probably live in Antarctica for quite a while before anyone even noticed. Dunno how well it'd work out if you tried formally declare yourself a country, though, since there's a treaty preventing any country from claiming it.philip964 wrote:Several times in my life, I have thought new country time.

I've thought about how would you start a new country. Buy an island then pay off the country that it's part of to give you independence.

Maybe there is another country that has as many gun rights as America, but I don't know of any.philip964 wrote:Several times in my life, I have thought new country time.

I think there's a small island nation that comes pretty close. Can't remember what it's called, though.Liberty wrote:Maybe there is another country that has as many gun rights as America, but I don't know of any.philip964 wrote:Several times in my life, I have thought new country time.

If you can get enough $$ to buy your own island, I'd imagine you could have whatever you want.

No doubt the illegal immigration issue has a lot to do with it but I think far more so are all the out-of-staters moving in and bringing their liberal nonsense with them. We're not as conservative as we like to think we are, and if you don't believe me then look no further than at how hard we have to fight for gun bills in the Legislature. With near 2/3 GOP majorities in both houses for two decades, most of these things should be no-brainers. Every major city government except maybe Ft. Worth is almost completely dominated by liberals, and Ft. Worth may well be too for all I know.parabelum wrote:Progs are constantly touting demographic shifts, and they would be correct on this. If Hillary wins Texas, I can't even fathom the consequences. It's nearly impossible to elect a Republican president now. If we turn red, it literally cannot happen.
Re: Can Hillary Clinton win Texas? (Yes, Texas)
A partial quote from parabellum that opens up a real problem we have
"You can have just a green card, be a non citizen, have texas dl, and vote. It's illegal of course, but do you think someone is checking?"
As I see it being out of L E for 40 years
The major problem " IS PEOPLE NOT DOING THEIR JOB"
Look at Border patrol the honchos wont let the men women in the field do the Job.
New example FBI and the fiasco of the Hillary investigatio
The IRS in giving them the job of not allowing groups to be Non Profit ORGS.
REAGEN WAS RIGHT TRICKLE DOWN WORKS ESPECIALLY IN GOVT.
The corruption in govt is overwhelming
and it is every where congress, Executive, Judicial; From the topp all the way down to dogcatcher

That's what it looked like in 2012. We might not go Blue in 2016, but the demographics of those blue counties will dwarf those of the red eventually.
Re: Can Hillary Clinton win Texas? (Yes, Texas)
There are a lot of people moving in, I am one of them. I know many in my area that aren't native Texans too. We're not voting for her. So for every loud mouth you see there are silent voters standing by. I don't like Trump, so you won't be me boasting his support. Doesn't mean I'm voting for Clinton. Before you tell me to go back to where I came from, I'll just say my ancestors were here before this was even Texas. We built San Antonio for the Spanish.parabelum wrote:Sadly, she can.
That is precisely why we have got to get as many people as possible to vote Trump/Pence.
Texas has seen an enormous influx of progs moving in from all over, and they are bringing their liberal votes with them.
In addition, border cities / counties are under assault from illegals.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Hopefully, after living in Texas for a while, good sense will start to wear off on them.chamberc wrote:

If you look at a county-by-county map of the entire US, it looks pretty much the same - 80% of the country is red, with the blue almost exclusively concentrated in major urban areas. Wonder why that is?
