Fort Worth Gun
Has Fort Worth Gun shut their doors? I was going to be in east Fort Worth anyway so I thought about stopping in and learned they had relocated to west Fort Worth. I bought a Kimber from them when they were at 820 & 35 but haven't done much with them since as their prices were too high.
Re: Fort Worth Gun
Their website is http://www.fortworthgun.com/ has their address 513 Alta Mere Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76114. I went in a couple of months ago to look around but not much inventory. I think they mostly sell online. But agree with you that their prices are high.

They are completely shut down, even at that new West Fort Worth location. This is as of early December 2016.

Could see it coming from a mile away. In this day and age you have to be able to keep up with the changing market. I live in Fort Worth and have bought many guns from them when they were CTD Outdoors. Bought one from them at the Eastchase location, that transaction didnt go very smooth. Not all their fault, they even handled the RMA for me but messed up a few things in the process. Their prices were high esp ammo, hardly anything in stock.AJSully421 wrote:They are completely shut down, even at that new West Fort Worth location. This is as of early December 2016.
Re: Fort Worth Gun
The last time I was in the store it was on Eastchase. I went there searching for a couple of magazines I had been unable to find. Sure enough they had them but at such a premium I couldnt bring myself to turn loose of the extra cash. I even asked about price matching and was told no. Agree with you FastCarry, their demise was anything but surprising. Pity to as they had a decent inventory.
Re: Fort Worth Gun
When they moved into the old liquor store across from Wal-mart on the East side of Fort Worth. Anything they had in stock you could go across the street (literally) and find at Wal-mart cheaper. At the time (and still) Wal-mart had the cans of Federal 5.56, 420 count on stripper clips for $174; was $20 more at Fort Worth Gun.FastCarry wrote:Their prices were high esp ammo, hardly anything in stock.

Re: Fort Worth Gun
They had name brand recognition (unfortunately) when they were CTD. But once they moved, they didn't have enough capital to keep it going, I went in a couple of times, but everything seemed super empty, low quantities of anything. And while I don't mind paying a pricing premium on a physical store, there's a certain amount that just won't fly with me.
