Inspection Flashlight

Like many forum members, I really like flashlights and own quite a few.
Recently I came across a flashlight that I HAD to buy and try.
It is a Global G20 inspection light. It runs on 2 X aaa batteries.
It is not nearly as bright as most of my other LED lights, but it's not supposed to be.
The beam is circular and uniformly illuminates a flat surface.

I have found it to be much better than other flashlights for inspecting small parts as
well as reading small print and stamped/etched ID number/part number.
The construction is very solid and it costs around $15.
I bought mine at Wally World. A few days ago I went back and bought a second light.
I couldn't help myself.

Like you I have a special place in my life for flashlights. LOL
I assume it's not so bright as to create glare from a printed page or objects one is attempting to inspect. You probably have cost me 15 bucks, or more if I really like it. We need to shoot.

This flashlight has a lens on the front that collimates the light so that there are no hot spots.
My old eyes can use all of the help I can find.

In one of the on-line reviews, the reviewer stated that the beam from this light reminded him of the "Bat Signal".
The retail packaging is such that you can press the switch on the back and try it out in the store.

How many lumens does it give you?

According to the Coast website, it is 36 lumens.

I'd never seen the Coast flashlights until 3 weeks ago. Saw them in a local Frys store and bought one. Not sure which model, but it has a clip on it that can be used in either direction without removing it from the light. Very bright, especially with a lithium ion battery.
I liked that it had a battery installed already and I was able to test it in the store - winner!

That's a good suggestion. I too have trouble now reading stuff like serial numbers engraved in barrels, and stuff like that, and have taken to keeping a small flashlight at my workbench just for those occasions. I'd buy one like yours, but I've already got a light that fits the bill, so.....

I counted the flashlights just in my truck and I have 6. I have at least 2 in my living room, 4 in my bedroom, 3 in my gun area (safe, range bags etc.) Jusme Jr, has 2 in his car, Mrs. Jusme has 3 in her car and 1 in her range bag. Those don't count the ones I have attached to firearms (another 3) But I will definitely look at this one. Can never have too many
