That's pretty much the story.

Other than when they caught him, the police posted it on their Facebook Page.

Ok we need to get organized and start the drive to ban hairbrushes. If that won't work we need to go after Leopard print robes.

The article didn't say, but I'm betting it was an
assault brush, probably had a high capacity bristle count. No one needs more than 10 bristles.

Plus the robe was an obvious attempt at camouflage, to be able to blend in to the surroundings.
This type of thing needs to be stopped. What if a child had picked up the hairbrush, and suddenly became more neatly groomed, totally ruining themselves for life, unable to get entitlements we have worked so hard to provide for them.
Let's all meet in front of a Liberal college, to protest the sale of hairbrushes without background checks. People with mental problems could go out and use them to brush innocent people's hair.

I think that beauty shop owners should have to be vetted every six months, and be required to report any thefts of hairbrushes, within 24 hours or face severe penalties.
Additionally, the idea of wearing robes representing endangered species, should require a minimum of 25 years In prison. Unless they can show that they had a good reason, like making a fashion statement.
But this defense should be only used by Heroine addicted fashion models.
Whew... Glad to get that off my chest. Where are the safe spaces with play dough? I have some really creative thoughts about that.

I think that Leopard Print also qualifies as a "silencer" ...... er Suppressor. I never realized a hairbrush was so lethal.
Just some guy's opinion.

I think we could easily get a majority of people to support a ban on leopard print robes.

People should still be allowed to wear leopard print in the privacy of their own homes, but not out in public. Also, since it shouldn't be seen in public anyway, it should be restricted to undergarments. If there's no need for it to ever been seen in public, there should be no outerwear even manufactured with leopard print.

Co-opting the appearance of leopards is discrimination against their hard fought culture they have aspired to.

I think I would be sort of embarrassed if I were successfully robbed by some guy wearing a leopard-print bathrobe and using a hair brush. :(

ETA: They should have taken the mug shot while he was wearing the robe.

Is the penalty worse with using a hair brush?

Robbery with a deadly grooming product!!! :biggrinjester:

There does not have to be a deadly weapon involved for him to be charged with aggravated robbery. The fact that the victim believed that he had a deadly weapon is enough to up the charge.

Yeah, for "aggravated" to be added on before something (assault, robbery, or potentially many other crimes) the victim has to have just cause to believe there was potentially lethal weapon involved. Cases like the above are the exact reason for it. No more "It wasn't a real gun" defense.
I once had a student shoot at a couple adults (hitting one in the face) with a pellet gun, but he had used a marker to color over the orange ring that distinguished it from a firearm. Both adults testified they believed they were going to die. The kid caught two agg. assault convictions for it.

At least he was poking it under his own robe.

I noticed he has a Psalms 23 tattoo on his neck. Maybe he misread it as "yea, tho' I walk thru the golden arches, my robe and my brush they comfort me"

I had great fear of the hairbrush growing up. Mom wielded a mean hairbrush to the backside on occasion. That sucker hurt.
