I haven't read anything bad about them. I know a couple of people who own the Ruger AR 556, and they are quite pleased.

I love mine close to 1k rounds so far with no issues. It's my first and only AR so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Not to hijack the thread but I've noticed really odd pricing on the Ruger 556 over the last month or two. Buds had them for $608, then dropped to $499, now up to $620. Meanwhile Grabagun has maintained consistent pricing at $479. I'm not sure what is going on.

I think it has to do with inventory on hand, and demand. when they have several, they give higher discounts, when they get low, on stock, the price goes up. Also, there is a lot of market uncertainty, so they never know when supply will pass demand. I don't expect them to drop much below the $475- $500 range, for a while, but I do think they will start to decrease a little in price. JMHO

The first week of April I thought I got a good deal at Cabela's for 300 .223 PMC rounds and a 50 cal ammo can for the same money. Your deal was much better!
