One thing I forgot to mention:
My renewed license had a different photo of me vs. my original, they used the photo that is the same as my TX DL, which is an older photo.
Thought that was a little unusual.

Mine is in the "Background Check : Under Review" status as of yesterday. All other checkboxes are green, I'm glad they'll be using the fingerprints on file. They haven't changed.

Mrs. Oldgringo received her renewal on 10/5. We did the internet application and payment on 9/21. DPS must have hired Speedy Gonzales to do renewals?

“Print Pending” status as of 10/11.

License has been mailed status this morning, 10/13.

Yep - pretty fast. Submitted online appl. 9/29/17. Status as of 10/12/17 - LTC completed and in the mail.

Well, checked my mail today and license already arrived, that was very fast!

However, my picture is no longer of my younger self ... it is the one from my DL. There goes my last ID I was clinging on my younger days :grumble
