This is a great thread. What a cool project. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

Total so far for general interests' sake:
* Ruger: $440 ($400 + $30 shipping + $10 transfer)
* Python barrel: $290
* Shipping to Smith, Fedex insured: $24
Running total: $754

What do you mean by trifle?AndyC wrote: Tue Jul 31, 2018 2:15 pm Good, you can remind me because I intend to forget all about it until I get "The Call"
I'm glad others appreciate it, or I might start to suspect that I'm a trifle odd...karder wrote: Tue Jul 31, 2018 12:29 pm This is a great thread. What a cool project. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

Even if you are, Andy, it's still pretty cool. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

How much for getting it engraved with a cougar and all the other BBQ gun finery?

Andy,
Does that price include a trigger job on the Ruger? I have a 70's vintage Security Six that needs a trigger job but don't know anyone that can do that. Sure would like to get it slicked up.
