SB 1172 - Seizure of weapons after arrest, off limits locations and failure to display licence

If you are arrested, the officer shall seize your weapons and LTC.

Class B misdemeanor if you fail to show your LTC when ID is demanded by an officer and you are carrying a handgun.

Police stations off limits for firearm carry unless it is a handgun and you are licensed to carry it.

That third bit might survive...

The first two are garbage.

Nope and Nope!! This is just a way to allow swatting. This was why the statute was written, so that the mere fact of carrying, was not probable cause to demand your LTC. This is also a way, to prevent anyone, involved in a self defense shooting, to not only lose their gun, but also their LTC, before they have been charged or convicted of any crime. More emails being sent to my reps.

I prefer a law creating a Class B misdemeanor offense if a peace officer fails to show their license when a citizen asks if they're a LEO. :evil2:
"A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned."
