-The same sentiments here, but there was another "war" going on at the time, the Cold War. While we weren't as at much risk, we did our part to win this one. I was in the service at that time but never left the USA and I don't consider myself a Viet Nam vet but technically I am. My best buddy at the time went to Thailand unofficially. I personally don't consider myself a Viet Nam vet and leave the glory to those that did the actual fighting. Thank you for your service and contribution. You all did much more than I did.
