It was a little bit irritating yesterday when one of my weather apps notified me of this young lady missing 'in my area', some 300 miles away.

I’ve gotten amber alert from as far as 800 miles from here. I don’t mind as they may be headed for the boarder. I have Amber alerts disabled on my phone because the last one I got was from San Antonio. I'm in the far northeast corner of the state.
Also, when there was actually an Amber alert issues IN MARSHALL where I live, I never got the alert.
This alert came via the Weatherbug app.
