I will be driving from Texarkana to Nashville this weekend for a trade show... any surprises?
I usually carry my Kahr PM-9 in a velcro pouch on my belt.
Thanks!

The "construction zones du jour" in Memphis and Nashville are guaranteed to be surprises.
As for differences in the law, TN prohibits carry in any establishment licensed to serve alcohol for consumption on premises. I'm not sure of the specifics of "no guns" signs; neither AR nor TN (nor any other state) has anything like a 30.06 notice.
TN does allow open carry when licensed. Even the legal beagles in TN are hesitant to try it except in rural areas.
It's a long hard drive to Nashville in one day, but easily do-able if you're not toting kids and dogs. I did it three times in 2005-'06 (with kids and dogs!), pressing on to Radcliff KY twice, and all the way to New Hampshire once (with only 2-3 hour rest breaks). Except for LR-Memphis, it's a beautiful drive. (On-topic: just east of LR you'll pass the Remington ammo plant.
)
Don't forget to stop in Bucksnort and buy a hat or t-shirt. It's a tradition.

Thanks
I don't expect any difficulties, two good drivers in a comfortable full size pickup with no kids or dogs. Just interested in the CHL laws.
