Two incidents that close together make me think that maybe this guy messed with a gang or something and they're after him...

Or it could just be a few idiots wanting to get some of "the other kind" of copper... that doesn't go bang...

They wouldn't send a burglar the second time, knowing that he is capable of defending himself. They would have broken his door down and assassinated him, or more likely set his place on fire. (The latter happened here.)

Some neighborhoods are bad enough that residents are burglarized frequently. The burglar who did the first break-in knows that things will have been replaced after a month.

More than likely just typical thieves looking to get what they can and sell to buy booze or crack/meth. 2nd guy looked like he was pretty strung out when that pic was taken.

His business had been broken into some 42 times in the past year. He decided enough was enough.

You know, my attitude toward these types of situations is changing. I used to think that the only reason to take a life, was to save a life. Now, I don't know anymore. Some will talk about the value of a human life, but what is a career criminal's life really worth? So instead of shooting the burglar, you hold him/her until police arrive, then they goes to jail where taxpayers support them until he/she gets out only to repeat the process over and over again.

It really irritates me that this guy's family thinks the owner is in the wrong. Then on top of that, you have reporters painting a bad picture of the business owner. Do they not understand that if he was not breaking into someone else's property he would still be here. He is 100% responsible for his own death.

The newsreporter goes after the shooter, a 70 year old veteran, and the stinking liberal reporter asks if he is "trigger happy"
She got suspended!
