Inquiry

Post by rahhar »

I was told today that CHL has sent a letter requesting something. I don't know what it could be other than missing info on application, I have only lived in Galveston and Harris County. I do wonder if anyone has an idea as to response time in Galveston and Harris county.

By "CHL" do you mean the Department of Public Safety Concealed Hangun Licensing Bureau?

Who told you that they sent something, and where did they send it?

It could be anything: missing information, unsigned photos, bad fingerprints.

Just email or call them up.

I've put two inquiries starting with an email and they are very responsive.

That said, patience is a virtue that you can exercise during this process. Instant gratification isn't offered in this room.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they red-flag folks that are contacting them weekly or even more frequently. I actually think there is wisdom in the waiting process that goes beyond gathering background check data.
