2 months and counting

Post by Glock 23 »

so i took the class in august, sent it out the first of september.

emailed CHL and they said it mailed on Oct. 1st.
3 weeks later and still nothing. I email them again, and it shipped on the Oct. 23.

hmmmmm? should I believe them this time? or plan on waiting another month or 2?

well, my 1st plastic shipped on Oct. 1st according to their website. It went to a wrong address. I never got it. But all mail was forwarded so it shouldn't matter.

changed my address online so I assumed they sent a new one, and said it shipped on Oct. 23. They never specified which one it was.

Wow if your first plastic shipped Oct 1 thats an incredible turn around time. I hope I have the same luck...
10/23/07 - Completed package mailed to DPS
10/26/07 - Package arrives at DPS
11/29/07 - Recieved PIN via usps
01/09/08 - Still waiting on "investigative report" for background check.
02/05/08 - Issued/Active - 101 days total

Don't count on it :???: I sent mine 9/4, got a pin about 10 days later, and now I wait. I'm in Wmsn cty, four years ago I was in Travis, so I guess they have to check with both.

1 week is a pretty quick turnaround for a PIN. The Travis County part may be what's taking so long. It seems that all of us Austinites have a longer waiting period than everyone else.
