FINALLY, today my status changed to active! I mailed my packet on 9/17, so 6 weeks is about average. I guess DPS IS actually trying to get these applications processed, because they apparently work weekends. Can't wait for the mail, and my G30 is begging to be carried first :grin:

Just curious, what makes you think they work weekends? Or were you just kidding?

10/23/07 - Completed package mailed to DPS
10/26/07 - Package arrives at DPS
11/29/07 - Recieved PIN via usps
01/09/08 - Still waiting on "investigative report" for background check.
02/05/08 - Issued/Active - 101 days total

He said his status changed on Sunday evening.

I don't know who operates the web site or how it works, but I wouldn't be surprised if some part of it was subcontracted to India.

So I am not crazy checking on the weekends?

Still no change on mine. Corrected paperwork was into Austin the 28th of September.
