Man...how freeking easy is it to signup online

I had already taken the class, but just filled out all the info online, paid my $70 bucks (new veterans 50% discount  ) and got my Trace Number

No all I have to do is photocopy my DD-214, put in the receipt I printed from my online deal, and mail in my package (had everything already done from my class) and POW!

Oh..I verified directly with the CHL helpdesk and if you have an honorable discharge on your DD-214 you get a 50% discount across the board PERMANENTLY (started Sept 1)!!!

Sending in my package tonight under priority mail...the count down has begun!

You will have to wait for the online packet to be mailed to you- sign it and return it. You are assigned a pin number and a CHL number for that application.

Takes about 7 days to receive the packet from Austin

I bet you receive your CHL around 35 days depending on what county you live in. May you have a fast turn around!

This is something I was wondering about.

So you are confirming that there is now an option in the online payment area to specify that you are Honorable Vet (where of course there was none before) and you tick there for the 50% Discount. Is that correct?

Yes 100%...there is a checkbox with Veteran in it (after you go thru the eligibility clickys on the website)..I even emailed them and got the reply that Active duty and discharged within 365days is FREE, after that its 50% discount across the board.

They will mail you a pre-printed form [the info you entered online] (the new after Sept 1 form at that) and all you do is then put in your classroom paperwork they give you and send it of...

You will have to send in a copy of your DD-214 (doesn't have to be notarized, just a copy) and then qualify for the 50% discount
