I have three Kore Essential belts. My most recent is there tactical belt and its a solid piece of equipment if your looking for Nylon. If its leather you prefer i recommend Tucker gun leather.

+1 on the Kore essential. I was hesitant about the ratcheting design, thinking it may not hold up, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I have the tan nylon, that I carry my CZ SP-01 and two 18 round mags. The belt is amazing, I don't even notice the weight, and it never tries to sag, or twist.

+2 on Kore Essentials. Their Tactical Belt has been my EDC for about 2 years now.
Chris, does the buckle from the original Kore fit the Tactical? The inner reinforcing on my original leather Kore broke in 3 places after 2 years. I'd like to use the buckle from the original and just by a bare Tactical.
I haven’t tried, but I wouldn’t think it does. The tactical belt is definitely a bit thicker, and appears just a skosh wider than the leather versions I have.

What you want is Tucker Gunleather. There's Tucker, and then there's everything else. Period.

Another vote here for Kore essentials. Been using them for going on three years now.

I had a couple of Wilderness Instructor belts, but the velcro wore out and the stitching (or fabric itself?) started to unravel eventually.

As a birthday present, got turned loose on Tucker Gunleather's website. Ordered an HF-1 with retention, and some decorative flair, along with a gun belt.

Wow. Just... Wow. Worn the belt daily ever since it arrived, and couldn't be more pleased.

The only thing I'd offer, is that the darn thing is probably close to 1/4" thick; if your holster doesn't have slots or loops to accommodate such a substantial belt, it might not be compatible.

This rig seems like something that'll last a few generations.

Will check out the Core belts for sure. Being an old fart, I'm not much of a tactical nylon guy; which of their leather belts do you recommend? As to the Tucker, yeah, I've looked at them quite a bit over the years. Would be an amazing BBQ Rig, but pretty spendy....

Yes, they are. And a real bargain considering the quality and lifetime of wear they will give the owner and those it is passed on to.

Howdy all, thanks again for all of your replies!! I've been pretty swamped lately, so not on the site much but thought I'd give a quick update. Kore had a great Black Friday combo deal, so pulled the trigger on a leather/tactical combo. Got them in last week, but since it's a "Christmas gift" for me; I'll have to wait until the wife wraps them so the kids can "give" them to me for Christmas. Looking forward to trying them out and will let you all know what I think once I've had a chance to work with them for a bit. Cheers!!
