What is the typical wait?

Post by Byron South »

I've been checking the website and it has said "poccessing aplication" for a couple of weeks or more. What is the typical waiting period after getting this message? By the way, sent my aplication in October 2nd.

Thanks.

I don't think there is a typical wait. You see people on here getting theirs after 35-40 days, I am on day 64, and there are folks who wait even longer.

I understand that it could be a while yet but was just wondering if there was a typical wait after the site says "Proccesing Aplication". I'm leaving town in a few days going to another state where CC is legal. I was hoping to have my license by then. I hunt and will be traveling with firearms so I was hoping to be able to carry a concealed handgun as well. No biggy just more convienient.

Thanks.

Yeah, it would be. But I doubt you will have it. You could call and ask, but you probably won't get a better response than "it is processing." Might be worth a shot though.

I would say that "average" is probably 50 days or so based on what I have seen online here. But that it tends to run in spurts and I have seen the extreemes of as low as 30 days and as much as 120 days.

Thanks guy but I may not have been clear enough as to what I was asking.

I know the wait can be long in total lenght. I was just wondering if there was a typical time frame from the time you status changes to "Proccessing aplication" on the webesite. It seems that is a milestone in the waiting period. I know it can be determined by many factors but me being from a small town in a rural county and being a resident here my entire life in good standing I was hoping there wouldn't be anything to delay it too much.

Thanks again.
