Is the "felony attempted murder" charge because he shot himself???Matthew James, 33, of no permanent address, was held without bail at Falkenburg Road Jail today. He is charged with felony attempted murder and felony armed robbery, jail records show.

I dunno, maybe its funny...

Actually, that may not be the case. There's a law in Texas (and I can't remember the terminology) that states that if multiple actors are engaged in a crime on one is killed, the other(s) may be charged with his murder.seamusTX wrote:No. He shot at the robbery victim.stevie_d_64 wrote:Is the "felony attempted murder" charge because he shot himself???- JimAbout 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, an armed man entered the Channelside Metro BP, 1239 E. Kennedy Blvd., fired one round at the clerk ...
Someone more knowledgeable may want to clarify that one for me.

This guy was acting alone and shot at the robbry victim. That will get you attempted murder anywhere.
This was in Florida and I don't know the details of their laws.
There is a law in Texas that all parties to a criminal act can be prosecuted for any outcome of the crime.

Sorry. You're right. I was reading another article about two guys robbing a man; one robber was shot by the intended victim. I had that article in mind when I came back and commented.
