FBI released videos showing suspect casing the hotel the day before and of him as he burst past USSS officers and TSA screeners. Second video is zoomed in showing what a good dog the K9 was and seemed to alert on the suspect.

It's fortunate there was no friendly fire injuries. It appears to me that some of the shots fired by the USSS officer had TSA agents, police, or USSS directly behind suspect when he fired. It is reported that he fired 5 times at the suspect, but all missed.

The suspect fired the shot that hit the officer per federal prosecutors based on video evidence, ballistics, and analysis.

Judge apologizes to the attempted assassin of the President of the United States for his grave treatment in prison by being kept in solitary confinement for his protection and leaving the lights on.

Since he had told the police he thought he would be killed in the assassination, they suspected he might attempt to kill himself and so he was on suicide watch. That has now ended.

And so it goes in the crazy upside down world of the North East Coast of America.
