The donation clock is Eastern time, so you can take part in the Tea Party starting at 11:00 Central.

I'll definitely be donating again.

You can track donations with live updates at the campaign site: http://www.ronpaul2008.com .

If you want more details, check the volunteer site: http://www.ronpaulgraphs.com .

Some people got a headstart today, so there's only $450,000 left to go to reach the quarterly goal of $12,000,000. I predict it breaks $12 million before 1 a.m., and $17 million by midnight.

I sent him $10, mostly because I respect him as a candidate, even though I don't agree with about half of what he stands for; he's one of the few respectable folks.

I've pretty much realised whoever I vote for, or whoever gets elected, over half of things I care about won't be covered, so I'm going by respectableness. It sounds counterproductive, but I'm such a weird political animal, I doubt anyone would ever match more than 40%-50% of what I care about.

Be sure to donate before Midnight EST for the donation to count in today's drive. It's about 2 PM EST as I write this and he is already pushing on 3 M for the day. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Russell wrote:I was planning on buying a bumper sticker and sending him another $5 something that way, but I want to wait until after Christmas to see if he still has this kind of momentum. If he's still going strong and polling decently in Iowa, I'll send him some more of my hard-earned cash :)
The idea is to give him money now so he will have resources to make himself better known and do well in the primaries.

So far today (as of 1428 Eastern): $3,053,137. On November 5, the day that set all the records, he didn't hit $3 million until about 1945.

On 11/5 the total passed $1 million around 0945; today, it was about 0500.

Total number of donors today is tracking between one third and one half greater than than 11/5. The total number on 11/5 was just under 39k; today, it's already above 25k.

The goal for the quarter (ending 12/31) was $12 million. Interviewed last week, Paul said he was confident that we "might get to $14 million on the 16th"; the total is already over $14.6 million.

It's obvious today is going to be another record-breaker.

Oh, and I thank those of you who are giving even $10 because you like Ron Paul's message of Liberty, even if you have disagreements with him. It's important to wake up the RINOs and neocons who are running the GOP, and let them know that we're tired of politics as usual.

No matter how this campaign ends, the movement will continue. As Ron Paul says, "I'm just the messenger. They adopted me!"

I sent him a benjy via my NRA credit card. I saw my name briefly in the rolling donor list at http://www.ronpaul2008.com; I tried to do a screen capture but somehow it did not work.

The next thing to do is visit the local board of elections and change my affiliation from independent/non-affiliated to Republican. I still feel a little hesitant about doing this, as I have a very strong independent streak that was never stamped out in public school , but I figure that private donation, combined with participation in primary and general elections, are the best ways I can help Ron Paul get on the ballot and into the White House.

The day started at $11.55 million, and ended at $17.98 million. I'm not sure how they're counting it as less than $6 million. Perhaps some of the quarterly total was credited to different days.

The excellent news is that there were over 25k new donors today alone. :hurry:
