I talked with this fellow again just to hear him tell the story. he had it between his legs
and it dropped it, not on the table. the bullet went through a set of chest drawers out the back and then hitting three walls before his arm and head. 20-30deg different angle he would have been in the obituary section. Argentina made 1911

I too have had a 45 ricochet hit me in the chest. A first time shooter was shooting at a metal cylinder on private land. It flew back and hit me hard enough to hurt pretty bad. I was 20 ft behind and 10 feet to the right of the shooter. I had a big round bruise. I laughed it off at the time, but I was thinking how bad it could have been if I had been hit in the teeth or face. Without eye protection it easily could have blinded someone. Good lesson - EVERYONE should have shooting glasses on range.
