Single Stack at Thunder Saturday

Post by TxD »

This match sounds like a lot of fun.
IDPA targets and scoring with a little USPSA
mixed in.
Does anyone know whether the gear is worn
IDPA or USPSA style?
I hope to see ya there.
Dave.

TxD, Gear will be worn USPSA or IDPA, your choice. Since there will be a couple of 30+ round scenarios, I'll probably have a couple of extra magazine holders.

This is a great opportunity to get that 1911 out of the holster and shoot about 200 rounds of good practice. Hope to see everyone there. Shooter's meeting at 0830 and match starts at 0900.

WHAT A BLAST!!! 44 shooters mixed about 50/50 IDPA and USPSA. Almost 200 rounds of ammunition on 6 very challenging stages. Hybred rules that combined USPSA shooting with IDPA scoring messed up both types of shooters because it favored shooting fast but the IDPA targets and scoring made accuracy as important as the speed. This will be a repeat event in 2008. My thanks to the people that put this match together. They created a format for shooters in both disciplines to compete on a pretty even footing and have a a bunch of fun doing it.
