Former Houston city councilman Michael Berry said he's thankful to be alive. That's after he claims he was the victim of a carjacking outside of a Southwest Houston bar.

I used to listen to Michael Berry on the KPRC 950 morning show. I remember him talking about getting his CHL. Neither the article or the broadcast mentioned that Berry is a CHL holder. I guess he wasn't armed that particular night. The news report said he was leaving the Firehouse Saloon. I am not sure, but I thought the evening news said he was a part owner of the nightclub.
